2008 – Current, Principal, Fraser Appraisal Services
Currently provide replacement cost value opinions of public structures for Alliant Insurance Services, Inc. Users of appraisal services include cities, counties, universities and other public agencies. Examples of structures valued comprise city halls, bridges, police and fire stations, emergency operation centers, academic buildings, animal shelters, water treatment and distribution facilities, electrical substations, central plants and stadiums.
Prior assignments included providing commercial and residential review services for Union Bank and Santa Barbara Bank and Trust. Typical property types encompassed office, industrial, retail, apartment, land and single family homes.
For a four-year period, performed research and analysis for appraisal firm Betts and Associates on one long-term litigation assignment involving potential diminution in value to several industrial properties as the result of water contamination. Case settled in 2012.

Managed various enrichment and fund-raising programs on a volunteer basis.
2000 – 2001, Regional Manager, Curtis Rosenthal, Inc.
Responsible for development of the newly formed San Francisco office of Curtis Rosenthal, Inc., a Southern California real estate appraisal and consulting firm. Engaged and reviewed appraisal work for 3-4 commercial appraisers. Point person for client relations. Clients included commercial mortgage lenders, law firms, corporations, and accounting firms. Appraisals included all types of commercial, industrial, and multi-family residential properties.
1997 – 1999, Appraisal Supervisor, Union Bank of California
Responsible for the management of the residential appraisal functions for 46 Northern California counties, plus the states of Oregon and Washington. Managed a fee panel of approximately 150 fee appraisers. Hired and supervised staff. Resolved all associated problems or questions that were voiced from appraisers, reviewers, underwriters, loan agents, real estate agents, bank customers, and other internal bank clients. Monitored timeliness and quality of work prepared by fee appraisers and by review staff. Supported more senior management in the development of policies and procedures.
1993 – 1996, Review and Production Staff Appraiser, Bank of California
Wrote and reviewed appraisal reports for a variety of commercial property types throughout California, Oregon, and Washington. Performed consulting assignments for the bank’s loan officers in market research, cash flow projections, and valuation issues. Was a licensed general real estate appraiser in the states of Oregon and Washington during this period.
1991 – 1992, Valuation Consultant, Pacific Gas and Electric Company
Appraised and analyzed full and partial interests in various property types , especially large tracts of vacant land, throughout Northern and Central California. Assignments were completed for portfolio evaluation, sales, acquisitions and eminent domain processes.
1986 – 1990, Commercial and Residential Appraiser, Bank and Fee Offices
Wrote and reviewed appraisal reports on both residential and commercial properties located throughout Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, and Florida in both fee and employee-based environments.
